How We Approach a Job
Every watch that arrives at Mainspring Loft goes through the same intake process: it is logged, tagged, and assessed before any work begins. We do not open a movement without first understanding what we're working with and what the owner needs.
The service tiers below reflect this approach. A Quick Check answers the question of what a watch needs. A Clean & Regulate addresses drift and wear in the movement. A Full Heritage Overhaul covers the whole piece — mechanics, case, and documentation — for watches whose history and condition warrant that level of attention.

Service 01
Quick Service Check
฿ 3,400
A short inspection covering timekeeping, crown action, and seal condition, with a written note of findings. A sensible starting point for owners unsure what their watch needs. Includes a no-pressure summary of suggested next steps — whether that means a clean, an overhaul, or nothing at all.
The Quick Check is available as a standalone service with no further commitment required. The written note you receive is yours regardless of what you decide to do next.
- Timekeeping assessment
- Crown action and seal review
- General condition observation
- Written findings note provided
- Suggested next steps, no obligation
Typical Process
Drop off or arrange handover of the piece

฿ 13,500 · 5–7 working days
Service 02
Movement Clean & Regulate
฿ 13,500
Cleaning, lubrication, and regulation of the movement to restore steadier timekeeping. Suited to watches that have drifted out of their normal range — gaining or losing time beyond what's reasonable for their movement type. Returned with before-and-after timing notes for your reference.
The timing data provided is genuine: readings taken from the movement in multiple positions, before the service starts and after regulation is complete. This gives you a clear picture of what changed.
- Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic clean
- Watchmaker-grade lubrication at required points
- Regulation to movement specification
- Timing machine readings before and after
- Written service record returned with watch
Typical Process
Intake, log, and initial timing reading taken
Movement removed, disassembled, cleaned
Parts lubricated, movement reassembled
Regulation and post-service timing reading
Service record prepared, watch returned
Service 03
Full Heritage Overhaul
฿ 32,000
A complete overhaul for older and inherited pieces, including case refinishing (where appropriate) and considered part sourcing. Made for owners who value patient, well-recorded work on a meaningful watch. Each stage is logged and shared on completion.
Heritage overhauls are discussed in detail before work begins. We assess whether refinishing is appropriate given the piece's character, source parts with the original design in mind, and keep a running log of each stage that you receive at the end.
- Complete movement service (as Clean & Regulate)
- Case and bracelet cleaning and refinishing (considered)
- Considered part sourcing with owner input
- Stage-by-stage log prepared throughout
- Complete written record returned on completion
Typical Timeline
Initial meeting to discuss the piece and scope
Full assessment; price and timeline confirmed
Movement service, parts sourcing if required
Case work and reassembly; ongoing log kept
Final timing check, record compiled, watch returned
Duration: 3–6 weeks depending on parts and scope

Professional Standards
Secure Intake
Every piece is tagged and logged on arrival. Written receipt provided. We don't allow confusion over which watch belongs to whom.
Quality Materials
We use watchmaker-grade lubricants and equipment throughout. Shortcuts in materials eventually show up in results, so we don't take them.
Data Privacy
Contact and service details held for workshop records only. No sharing with third parties. Stored only as long as needed.
Timing Verification
Cleaning and overhaul services include machine-measured timing data before and after the work, returned to the owner in writing.
Clear Communication
No work proceeds without the owner's understanding. Findings are shared in plain language, and responses to enquiries aim to be straightforward.
Price Integrity
The figure agreed at the start of a job is what you pay at collection. No additions without prior discussion and agreement.
